Foolish

(Written by Natalie Rae & Bryan Stratman)
You use to love me
You use to care
When I needed you most
Well you werent there
I use to think
We could make this work
And then I noticed
You standing with her

And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
What you were doing to me
Ooh ooh
What you were doing to me
Ooh ooh

I wish I knew more
Then I knew back then
So I didnt have to
Watch you pretend
You made me think
I was special
But it was all lies
Yah it was all lies

And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see

Does she taste good at night
When shes sleeping next to you
Can you make it through with
My picture in your mind
And doesn she take it off
For you
Does she make love to you
So damn good
Can she make you feel the way
That I made you feel

So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
And I know that this sorrow
Can be bittersweet
Im gunna make you feel
How I felt last week
All tye lies tyat you told me
And all the shit that you sold
Well dont worry baby
Yah I already told
And its funny you notice
Because she believes me
And now whos cryin alone
It's you not me
Ooh
Its you not me

And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
And how could I be
So foolish to not see
So foolish to not see
What you were doing to me
Ooh ooh
What you were doing to me
Ooh ooh

Wanna Be Loved

(Written by Natalie Rae & Bryan Stratman)
I see you shaken baby, What's the deal now, Who you fakin,
I see you lick your lips, Tryin' to taste his sweet kisses, You say
I don't ever think, I wanna be in love again,
But it's not true, but it's not true
I don't ever think, I wanna be in love again,
But it's not true, but it's not true
You wanna be loved don't you, Yah everybody wants to be loved,
You want 'em to hold you and squeeze you and tell you he needs you but it's harder than that,
All the feelings that you feel will draw pain,
When they tell you that they don't feel the same,
But that's the price you choose to pay,
When you wanna be loved oh, And you wanna be loved don't you?
I see you crying baby, What's the deal, What's he been doin lately,
I see you bite your lip, With every move you make, You say
I don't ever think I wanna be in love again,
But it's not true but it's not true
I don't ever think I wanna be in love again,
But it's not true but it's not true
You wanna be loved don't you, Yah everybody wants to be loved,
You want 'em to hold you and squeeze you and tell you he needs you but it's harder than that,
All the feelings that you feel will draw pain,
When they tell you that they don't feel the same,
But that's the price you choose to pay, If you wanna be loved oh,
And you wanna be loved don't you
(x10) I don't ever think I wanna be in love again, Is it true
(if you wanna be loved oh, and you wanna be loved don't you)
All the feelings that you feel will draw pain,
When they tell you that they don't feel the same,
But that's the price you choose to pay, If you wanna be loved oh,
And you wanna be loved don't you

"...All of my works have been inspired by the way a song or person or situation has made me feel in the past." Wanna Be Loved draws on a simple theme that is fundamental to everyone, the conflict between "what we want and what we might suffer to get it." Is it really better to "Have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?" Natalie is not pretending to have the answer, but each listener can resonate the lyrics against their life experiences and come to their own conclusion. Natalie's inspiration for this song was intensely personal "...this song pretty much goes out to every girl/boy who has ever been strung along because they were part of some illusion of fake love even though in their mind they thought it was real."

Dancin On The Floor

(Written by Natalie Rae & Bryan Stratman)
Where are you now I can't find you at all
I'm wondering how You thought you didn't need to call
But I'm not gunna let you mess up my fun
So if you call me now I'm gunna let the message machine run
Cuz ill be dancin' on the floor alone
Better hope another guy don”t take me home
Cuz I'm the type of girl your boys Wanna touch
And I'm the type of girl your boys gunna love
But for now I'm dancin' on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
I'm dancin' on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
Done with these tears
Been going over this for years
I've made up my mind
after all your selfish times
Cuz I'm not gunna let you
take me away from here
So while I'm at the club
I hope your sitting at home my dear
Cuz I'll be dancin' on the floor alone
Better hope another guy don”t take me home
Cuz I'm the type of girl your boys wanna touch
And I'm the type of girl your boys gunna love
But for now I'm dancin' on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
I'm dancin on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
D-d-d-d dancin' (ugh), D-d-d-d dancin' (yah), D-d-d-d dancin'
I'll be dancin' up every chart
(Add lib) (Boy and girl!!!) You won't be dancin' (no)
D-d-d-d dancin' (hey), D-d-d-d dancin'
With your stupid selfish Broken heart
Cuz ill be dancin' on the floor alone
Better hope another guy don't take me home
Cuz I'm the type of girl your boys wanna touch
And I'm the type of girl your boys gunna love
But for now I'm dancin' on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
I'm dancin' on the floor alone
Alone, Alone
Dancin' on the Floor continues to evoke the listener to draw from themselves. What girl hasn't either "danced on the floor" alone (or wished she had!). The song encourages the listener to look at themselves through the other end of the microscope and live optimistically in the moment. Natalie will be the first to tell you that the "...the problem with the future is that it's in the future!" Natalie explains her motivation for this song as "...I always loved to dance alone because I felt like other people couldn't keep up with me and it was more freeing. Once I tapped into the concept it was so easy to write about, I was done by the time we walked in for lunch!

Toxic Love

(Written by Natalie Rae & Bryan Stratman)

I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
For you

(verse 1)
Taste the sickness
On my lips
I'm falling for this
Game were in
Stopping time
to cherish it
But I'm lost
Again

(chorus)
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
For you

(verse 2)
People keep on
telling me
Relationships are
Sticky
People keep on
telling me
But I won't
Believe them

(chorus)
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
For you

(bridge)
It's the way you look
At me
It's the poison and

It's the only way
For me to carry on
Your the words
I can't speak
You get strong
When I'm weak
Your the poison
for me yah

(breakdown)
X4 - And you got me (got me)
And you got me (got me)
And you got me going crazy

X4 - Tox Tox Tox sick love

(chorus)
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
I've got a toxic love
For you (sick love)

As you would guess, the roots of this song come from a darker side. "...It all started when I was coming home from a recording session listening to Lady Gaga (because I am "obsessed"). She always keys into a darker place even if the song is poppy or prettier. I started to get into this creepy dark mood, lip synching her songs and driving a little faster like I was actually her singing it in a music video."

L.I.V.E

(Written by Natalie Rae & Bryan Stratman)
(verse 1)
When I step on the scene
All eyes on me
So many girls
But I'm all they see
Cuz I'm dancin' and bumpin'
No stopin'
Gyratin
Cuz I'm dancin' and bumpin'
All eyes on me

(pre chorus)
And all the girls be askin' me
What's my secret
What what what what what
What's my secret
All the girls be askin' me
What's my secret
And I tell 'em
I tell 'em

(chorus)
L I V E
That's what I say to them
Tonight tonight
L I V E
That's what I say to them
Tonight tonight
You gotta live like
It's your last night
Last night last night
You gotta live like
It's your last night
Last night last night
(it's your last night
It's your last night)

(breakdown)
When I step on the scene
step step on the scene
All eyes on me
I'm all they see
Cuz I'm dancin and bumpin'
No stopin' no stopin'
Cuz I'm dancin and bumpin'
All eyes on me

(chorus)
L I V E
That's what I say to them
Tonight tonight
L I V E
That's what I say to them
Tonight tonight
Ou gotta live like
It's your last night
Last night last night
You gotta live like
it's your last night
Last night last night
(it's your last night
It's your last night)

"...I had been humming the melody of L.I.V.E. all the way home and ended up even recording it on my phone. When I got home and settled I got ready to take a shower and while in the shower I thought of all the lyrics. I didn't want to forget them so I quickly ran out of the shower soaking wet and sang the lyrics into my phone! Natalie doesn't keep her "secret" very long. L.I.V.E. relates a universal truth ("You gotta live every day like it"s your last day") in a way that melds the joy and optimism of youth with a normally somber bromide. As she relates... "I was inspired to write this song after listening to the kid cuddie song "memories" on my way home from recording some of my other tracks. I loved the theme of just living it up and being free and having amazing memories before your time on earth is done."
